Plot
A farming family in Montana comes across others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned individual in the rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget”; he loses his Montana accent and reverts to the Southern California speaking voice he normally uses. I don’t think anyone does a Western better than Kevin Costner, and with Taylor Sheridan, he’s a slam dunk for audiences. Check out “Wind River” for an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where has Cole Hauser been hiding? He’s amazing. I think the daughter is a necessary part, but she’s too much of a bitch. The scenery is fantastic, and being from Colorado, I can really enjoy the wide, beautiful land. Do yourself a favor and get into this series because it will be a winner.
