Plot
"Star Trek: Lower Decks" focuses on the support team serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the USS Cerritos, in the year 2380. Ensigns Mariner, Beumler, Rutherford and Tandy must continue their duties and social lives, often while the ship is rocked by a host of science fiction anomalies. The ship’s bridge crew consists of Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shax and Doctor T’An. This is the second animated spin-off of the series after “Star Trek: The Animated Series”; 1973-74, but it has a decidedly more mature tone and humor.
